lyrics

She was just 16 and all alone,
When I came to be,
So we grew up together,
My mama child and me.

Now things were bad and she was scared,
But whenever I would I would cry,
She'd calm my fears and drown my tears,
With a rock & roll lullaby.

And she'd sing, sha na na na na na na na na - It'll be alright
Sha na na na na na na na na na - just hold on tight
Sing it to me mama ma ma ma ma mama
Sing it sweet and clear, oh mama let me hear that ol' rock & roll lullaby

We made it through the lonely days,
But lord the nights were long,
And we'd dream of better mornings,
When mama sang her song.

Now I can't recall the words at all,
It don't make sense to try,
'Cause I just new lots of love came through,
In that rock & roll lullaby!

And she'd sing Sha na na na na na na na na - it'll be alright
Sha na na na na na na na na na na - just hold on tight
I can here you mama ma ma ma ma mama
Nothing eased my soul like the sound of that good ol' rock & roll lullaby

It'll be alright,
Just hold on tight,
Nothing eased my soul like the sound of that good ol' rock & roll lullaby

Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh - it'll be alright
Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh - Just hold on tight.

I played all the guitar parts and sang all the vocals Surprisingly this song was a huge hit in Brazil in the 1970's as it was the soundtrack to one of the country's first Day Time Soap opera's called "The Concrete Jungle"

about

Mike Cederberg Mississauga, Ontario

Started playing the guitar when I was 10 - took a 6 week crash course and was self-taught from there on. Played in a few bands but always played. Technology has now allowed me to record my versions of songs and instead of just hearing the harmonies and other instruments in my head, I could now add them!
I hope you enjoy these songs!
