This is a song written by John Fogerty and originally recorded by Creedence Clearwater Revival for their 1970 album Cosmo's Factory. It breaks into three verses, with a historical, recent past, and present tense approach.
lyrics
Long as I remember,
The rain's been comin' down,
Clouds of mystery fallin'
Confusion on the ground,
Good men through the ages
Tryin' to find the sun,
And I wonder,
Still I wonder
Who'll stop the rain.
I went down Virginia,
Seekin' shelter from the storm,
Caught up in the fable,
I watched the tower grow,
Five-year plans and new deals
Wrapped in golden chains,
And I wonder,
Still I wonder
Who'll stop the rain.
Heard the singers sayin',
Now we cheered for more,
The crowd had rushed together,
Tryin' to keep warm,
Still the rain kept fallin',
Fallin' on my ears.
And I wonder,
Still I wonder
Who'll stop the rain.

I re-did this song after losing a couple of the backing tracks. The percussion was a bitch but I struggled through it, playing all guitar, bass and vocal parts.
Started playing the guitar when I was 10 - took a 6 week crash course and was self-taught from there on. Played in a few
bands but always played. Technology has now allowed me to record my versions of songs and instead of just hearing the harmonies and other instruments in my head, I could now add them!
I hope you enjoy these songs!...more
